The Produce Business Unit at the Defense Personnel Support Center (DPSC) currently provides Fresh Fruit and Vegetables to the USDA School Lunch Program. DPSC purchases approximately 180 different line items of Produce to support the USDA. Deliveries are made once or twice a week either directly to the particpating schools or to a school distribution warehouse or central kitchen/consolidation point. The number of schools ordering their produce from DPSC will be increasing once again in the upcoming school year. Interested firms having the capability to provide a full line of Produce items and ensure their direct delivery to the participating schools in counties or school districts in approximately 39 states across the country should contact DPSC for additional information. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents deemed fully qualified will be considered in any resultant Purchase Agreements. DPSC produce purchases function as a small business set-aside and competition is welcome and encouraged.
