OPEN SEASON/PREPROPOSAL CONFERENCE Reference solicitation SPO730-95-R-7038 and amendments 0001 thru 0003. Pursuant to Clause I-112 "Open Season" amendment 0004 to the solicitation will be issued to afford schedule holders and potential offerors the opportunity to submit new or revised proposals. Contractors are encouraged to submit proposals for commercial lease and lease with option to buy arrangements and glider kits. Amendment 0004 will contain Commercial Item Descriptions (CID'S) and a purchase Description for apparatus for which the Government anticipates having future requirements. T vehicles include crash fire rescue trucks (CFR'S), CFR's with structural capabilities, mid-size rescues, brush trucks, and drug interdiction vehicles IN ADDITION TO the vehicles currently on schedule. Estimated purchase quantities will be included in the amendment where available. Offers will also be solicited for aerial work platforms (high reaches), 25 to 110 feet, truck/trailer mounted derricks, all types, including 36 to 55 foot pole setting sheave height, and aircraft refuelers, and hook lift trucks and modules. A preproposal conference will be held the week of August 11th, 1997 at Tyndall AFB, FL. Amendment 0004 will contain the CID'S and PD referenced above as well as information relative to the location, date and time of the preproposal conference.
