R -- AUDIT SERVICES SOL L/OIG 97-03 DUE 082597 POC Kathleen T. Young, Contracting Officer, 202/219-7869 Ext. 195 The Office of Inspector General, U.S. Department of Labor, is seeking certified public accounting firms to conduct audits for the DOL and other Federal Offices of Inspector General. This solicitation is unrestricted. This will be an Indefinite Quantity/Indefinite Delivery Contract. Services will be requested via a Task Order. This would include audits of financial statements, program audits, internal audits, and will also require expertise in the field of information systems technology to analyze both existing and proposed computer-based information processing systems. Offerors must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of accounting practices and procedures, generally accepted accounting and auditing standards, government auditing standards and regulations and Electronic Data Processing (EDP) and Automated Data Processing (ADP) auditing. Offerors must be prepared to perform these audit and related services in Washington, D.C., nationwide locations and overseas. Because of the complexity of these programs, technical qualifications of the offeror will weigh more heavily than price in making an award of this contract. This contract will be a multiple award contract for one year, renewable each successive year at the option of the DOL Office of Inspector General for the next four years. All requests shall reference RFP L/OIG 97-03. All responsible offerors may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the DOL Office of Inspector General. All requests for the RFP must be in writing on/or before the closing date. Please make requests in writing by close of business July 24, 1997. Anticipated release of the solicitation will be on or about July 25, 1997. The closing date forreceipt of proposals for the RFP is August 25, 1997. The RFP once issued, can be downloaded from the internet with an Adobe Reader at the following site http://www.dol.gov/oig/welcome.html. From there, choose the heading OIG PROCUREMENTS and download RFP L/OIG 97-03. Receipt of this RFP through the internet must be confirmed by written notification to the contact person noted above. Failure to do so will result in non-receipt of subsequent amendments.
