Field Artillery Ammunition Support Vehicle (FAASV) and M88 Recovery Vehicles unique Vehicular Intercommunications System (VIS) installation kit items. These items consist of vehicle specific VIS component interconnection cables (power, radio and alarm) and associated hardware. The sum of the installation items along with the headsets and component boxes already under contract constitutes the installation kits for each of these vehicles. The acquisition is for FAASV installation kit items, 855 each and an option for up to additional 131; and for M88 Recovery Vehicles installation kit items, 24 each and options for up to an additional 500. The equipment is being acquired on a sole source basis from Northrop Grumman Corporation, Bethpage, NY, under Contract Number DAAB07-92-C-B008. The Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition authority is 10 USC 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(b)(1), Only One Responsible Source.
