Stiens 813-972-7655 This is a combined synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the subparts in Federal Acquisition Regulation 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for proposal. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 5047. Pricing shall be submitted for Blood Culturing System as follows: (1)Becton Dickinson brand name or equal, Blood Culture Bottles, Aerobic Standard, catalog #440260 and Blood Culture Bottles, Anaerobic Standard, catalog #4402191. Culture bottles shall be direct vacutainer draw sample collection, no venting of bottles, and walk away unit. Pricing shall be base on an estimated quantity of 3816 bottles, catalog #4402260 and 3840 bottles, catalog # 4402191 to be delivered over the contract period from time of contract award to one year from date of award. Pricing shall also be submitted for option years I and option year II based on an estimated total of 3816 bottles, catalog #4402260 and 3840 bottles, catalog # 4402191 to be delivered for each option year. (2) Pricing shall be submitted for a Bactec 9240 brand name or equal. Vendors are encourage to submit proposals on the Bactec 9240 in the form of a purchase, rental or loaner. The Bactec 9240 is manufactured by Becton Dickinson Diagnostic Instrument Systems, 800-638-8656. Proposals shall also include pricing for Option Year I and Option Year II. If submitting a quote on a brand name equal, adequate technical information, for the Government's evaluation, shall be submitted with solicitation. All proposals will be evaluated.
