MEEKS (601) 631-5341 (Site Code CW38) The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment for rehabilitating five structures through the Ouachita River Levees. The structure rehabilitation at Sta. 2083+00 consists of removing the riprap, pervious backfill, and engineering fabric from around the outlet structure and extending the outlet headwall. Riprap, engineering fabric, and pervious backfill will be replaced after the headwall extension and reshaping the outlet channel. The rehabilitation at Sta. 283+90 consists of removing the outlet structure riser platform and three gates, raising the outlet tower, constructing a new platform with walkway bridge, three new slide gates with risers, appurtenances and electric operators. The rehabilitation at Sta. 285+73 consists of removing the two floor stand hoists which manually raises and lowers the 84-inch slide gates and replacing them with electric operators and hoists. The rehabilitations at Sta. 7+00 and 132+95 consists of removing the outlet structure gates, raising the outlet towers, building walkway bridges and new platforms, adding new manually-operated slide gates, risers, and appurtenances. Environmental protection is required at all sites. The estimated value of the proposed work is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Plans $14.70. Specifications $7.00. Issue date on or about 8 Aug 97.
