The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has a need to construct a new firearms training facility for the FBI at the Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers Training Academy (MLEOTA), 3791 Highway 468 West, Pearl, Mississippi 39208. Construction shall include, but is not limited to, civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical work to build a new Firearms Training Facility for the FBI. The primary elements of the building include a classroom, ammunitions vault, toilet facilities, and an observation tower. Estimated cost is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Detailed requirements and specifications are included in the Solicitation. Release date for the Solicitation is July 29, 1997. The Solicitation shall be available by mail request only at a cost of $200 per set, with a limit of two (2) sets per requesting firm. Firms wishing to reserve a copy at this time may do so by remitting its deposit to the FBI, Attn: Mr. Jan H. Brown, Room 10254, JEH-FBI Building, 935 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC 20535. The deposit is fully refundable upon return of the complete Solicitation to the FBI, at the address provided in the Solicitation, within 15 calendar days following Bid Opening. The Solicitation shall be available on a first-come-first-serve basis until supply is exhausted. A copy of the Solicitation will be placed with the F.W. Dodge and Construction Market Data plans rooms. A Pre-Bid Conference/Site Visit is scheduled for Thursday, August 14, 1997 at 2:00 PM (Local Time) at the MLETOA, 3791 Highway 468 West, Pearl, Mississippi 39208 (see Solicitation for particulars). Bid Opening is scheduled for Friday, August 29, 1997, at 2:00 PM (Local Time) at the following address: FBI, Room 10254, JEH-FBI Building, 935 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC 20535. Bids shall not be accepted at any other location. Performance Bond is required. Payment Bond is required is sub-contractors will be used on this project. Insurance is required. Access to the job site shall be limited to U.S. Citizens ONLY. The Standard Indutrial Classification (SIC) Code for this project is 1542.
