SOL 1443-RQ-2000-97-247 DUE 080897 POC Ed Tafoya, 303-969-2116 Project consists of Rehabilitation of the Glacier Point Overhead Line at the upper end in Yosemite National Park, California. Work shall include furnishing and installing new guy anchors and guy clamps, pole base anchors, insulators, connectors, dead end attachments, connectors, cutouts, lightning arrestors, new riser pole with crossarms, electrical hardware and ground system and clearing of trees and brush. It shall also include: 1. Testing existing guys on the Glacier Point Overhead Line: Work shall consist of moving the equipment from site to site and performing pull out testing the existing guys to assure they meet 2,000 pound pull out test. Work shall include helicopter work if necessary. 2. Rehabilitate Glacier Point Overhead Line Guys: Work shall consist of rehabilitating the Glacier Point 12kv overhead line existing guys. Work shall include furnishing and installing guy anchors and guy clamps, pole base anchors for the anchor which do not meet the pull out requirements. Work shall include helicopter work if necessary. 3. Rehabilitate Glacier Point Overhead Line Temporary Generator: This work consists of furnishing and maintaing a temporary generator with connections and boxes, cabling and fuel to maintain power at Glacier Point during construction, and furnishing, installing and removal of temporary fence for the storage area.
