The Indian Head Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center (IHDIVNAVSURFWARCEN) has a requirement for the Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NAVEODTECHDIV) for the manufacture of the MK 209 MOD 0 .50 Caliber Blank Electric Cartridges. The cartridges shall be manufactured in accordance with the Prime Item Product Fabrication Specification entitled "Cartridge, Electric, Caliber .50 Blank MARK 209 MOD 0" and the associated drawings. Requirement will consist of three lots. Lot I will consist of: a first article quantity of 72 units to be delivered within 180 days after contract award; a production lot sample of 84 units to be delivered within 180 days after approval of first article and a production quantity of 5000. Lot II, Option I will be for an additional quanity of 5000 and Lot III, Option II will be for an additional quantity of 5333. Award will be made to the low cost technically acceptable offeror with acceptable past performance. Estimated release date for the solicitation documentis 18 August 1997.
