N -- ENERGY SAVING PERFORMANCE PROJECTS SOL DADA10-97-R-0040 DUE 092597 POC Contract Specialist Craig Stark (210) 916-7628 (Site Code DADA10) The U.S. Army Medical Command, Central Contracting Office intends to procure energy saving performance projects at locations in the state of Hawaii, and locations in Guam, Korea, Japan, and Thailand. The projects may include lighting improvements, HVAC repairs, chilled water system upgrades, and other energy conservation measures that are deemed appropriate. The contractor will be required to furnish, at no capital cost to the government, all management, labor, material, equipment, and operation and maintenance services required to achieve the desired savings. The installed equipment will remain the property of the contractor until final payment is made. Payment for services will be made from the existing utility funds and the resulting energy cost savings. The term of the contract is limited to 25 years and is authorized by the Energy Policy Act of 1992. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about August 15, 1997. Offers will be due on or about September 15, 1997. A pre-proposalconference will be held. This will be an indefinite quantity type contract. This requirement is restricted to those firms included in the 1997 Department of Defense pre-qualified list for energy saving performance contracts.
