J -- SERVICE & MAINTENANCE ON BECTON DICKINSON FACSCAN SOL RFP 652-3-98 DUE 091397 POC Diane Campbell (804) 675-5477; Art Nalley, Contracting Officer (804) 675-5490 The VAMC Richmond, VA is seeking a qualified contractor to supply service and maintenance services for Becton Dickinson FACSCAN, S/N 81712 (or equal). Service includes: A. PM inspections made two times a year during the months of October and April. During the PM visit, the contractor shall perform preventive maintenance to correct any equipment malfunctions and assure that the equipment meets manufacturer's factory specifications Any calibration procedures or adjustments necessary to assure accurate and reliable equipment operation shall be performed at this time. Preventive maintenance shall be performed in accordance with the equipment manufacturer's published procedural guidelines. B. Service is to include Unlimited emergency service calls during the term of the contract, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week with a 24 hour response time. C. For each emergency service visit, the Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, repair parts (except those cited with Excluded Parts), equipment (not to includeoperating supplies) and travel necessary to correct equipment malfunctions and return equipment to operational condition. The Contractor shall guarantee that at the conclusion of any emergency maintenance performed that the equipment will meet manufacturer's factory specifications. The base period for performance is from October 1, 1997 through September 30, 1998. The solicitation will include two option years for maintenance services. (0209)
