develop analytical assays by radioimmunioassay (RIA) or any related
methods for cannabinoids, anandamide, orphanin FQ (nociceptin), and
other drugs of abuse and related compounds; (2) to assist research
investigators in analyzing their research samples for aforesaid drugs;
and (3) to supply assay kits to those researchers who would like to
perform assays in their own laboratories. The sample analysis,
maintenance of kits in adequate numbers and their shipping shall be
performed as designated by NIDA. Offerors must possess the equipment,
facilities, and extensive experience with developing radioimmunoassays
and/or related assays for various drugs in general, and desired drugs
in particular for this contract. It is anticipated that a five-year,
incrementally funded, cost-reimbursement-type (completion) contract
