F -- TYPE II FOREST FIREFIGHTING CREW SOL RFP R5-06-97-41 DUE 091597 POC Contracting Section, 916/257-2151, Extention 6621 or 6622 The Lassen National Forest, Susanville, CA, intends to acquire services for a Type II Forest Firefighting Crew. The Contractor shall provide personnel, ground transportation, supplies, and equipment for the purpose of; suppressing wildland fires; performing prescribed burns; and performing labor intensive presuppression work. The crew shall be a 20-person crew that forms and departs from base within 3 hours of receiving dispatch. Minimum Incident Command Systems (ICS) personnel qualifications; Crew Boss- single resource (CRWB); Advanced Fire Fighter (FFTI); and Fire Fighter (FFT2). All personnel shall receive the USDA, Forest Service, Pacific Southwest Region, "Critical Training" annually. Training shall meet the requirements of the National Wildfire Control Group (NWCG), Pacific Southwest Regional supplement. Training shall be conducted by instructors certified by the; California State Fire Marshal; California State Community College System; ;NWCG; or the USDA, Forest Service. The crew will be under the control of the Lassen National Forest and the Susanville Interagency Fire Center. This will be a one-year contract with two one-year options.
