THE BLUE GRASS ARMY DEPOT PRESENTS A MARKETING OPPORTUNITY DAY The Blue Grass Army Depot (BGAD), Richmond, KY, in cooperation with the Kentucky Procurement Assistance Program, the US Small Business Administration, the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development, the Kentucky Finance & Administration Cabinet, the Kentucky Commission on Military Affairs, the Richmond Chamber of Commerce, the Berea Chamber of Commerce, and the US Department of Defense -- Defense Logistics Agency, is sponsoring a Marketing Opportunity Day conference on Thursday, August 21, 1997. The Blue Grass Army Depot is a member of the Army Industrial Operation Command providing Munitions, Chemical Defense Equipment, and Special Operations Support to the Department of Defense. BGAD hosts a Government Owned Contractor Operated (GOCO) organization modifying airframes and installation/repairs on aviation electronics. This conference will provide the opportunity to meet one-on-one with purchasing representatives from the federal government, KY state government, and private industry. In addition, seminars will be offered on topics such as selling to the Blue Grass Army Depot, electronic access to bid opportunities with the state of Kentucky, subcontracting opportunities at the Blue Grass Army Depot, and more. The invited luncheon speaker is the Honorable Scotty Baesler, US Congress, 6th Congressional District, Kentucky. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., and the conference adjourns at 3:00 p.m. The conference will take place in the Multi-Purpose Building, Blue Grass Army Depot, Highway 421, Richmond, KY.
