The International Boundary and Water Commission, United States and Mexico, U.S. Section (USIBWC) has a requirement for a firm-fixed price contract for precast concrete gated box culverts to replace existing Rio Grande River levee timber bridges from Salem, New Mexico to El Paso, Texas. The Contractor shall deliver the culverts along the Rio Grande River floodplain at various sites designated by the Government. The installation of the culverts will be performed by Government personnel. The concrete box culverts will be of various dimensions and must meet the requirements of ASTM C789-95a "Precast Reinforced Concrete Box Sections for Culverts, Storm Drains, and Sewers." Estimated issuance of RFP 97-162 is September 4, 1997 and responses are to be received by 4:00 p.m. on October 6, 1997. The delivery period is 190 calendar days after Notice to Proceed.
