R -- LABORATORY ACCREDITATION PROGRAM SOL FSIS-57-W-97 DUE 090897 POC Contact Point, Julie Adams, (202) 720-9891 The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has a requirement for laboratory accreditation management services for the four FSIS laboratories and approximately 250 private laboratories. Services required include periodic on-site reviews and performance data reviews based on check sample results. The contractor shall be nationally and internationally recognized as competent to accredit laboratories under ISO/IEC Guide 25 requirements. The period of performance will be from October 1997 through September 1998, with four one-year option periods. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. Requests for solicitation packages shall be in writing and may be faxed to 202-690-1814. No telephone requests will be honored. Solicitation packages will be available on or about August 20, 1997.
