The Federal Bureau of Prisons, South Central Regional Office, Dallas, Texas, plans to issue Invitation for Bids (IFB) 443-0017 for unarmed guard services for those inmates requiring hospitalization in local area hospitals from the Federal Medical Center -- Carswell, in Ft. Worth, Texas and the Federal Medical Center in Ft. Worth, Texas. The subsequent contract will encompass two correctional institutions. The requirement for this service will be for an estimated average of 50,000 manhours per contract year. The contract will be for a base year not to exceed twelve (12) months with four (4) subsequent one (1) year option periods. IFB 443-0017 will be available on or about August 27, 1997 with an anticipated bid opening on or about September 30, 1997.
