Z -- UPDATE EMCS CONTROL SYSTEMS SOL 575-430-97 DUE 092497 POC Denise Boren, Contract Specialist (970) 244-7723 The DVA Medical Center, Grand Junction, CO, currently has an energy management control system (EMCS) consisting of a Johnson Controls JC 8540 main controller (software and TI 300A computer). This unit controls/monitors Johnson Controls Field Processing Units (FPU's -- 8 each) and Johnson Controls Distributed System Controller 8500 (DSC 8500 -- 11 each). There is also a Trane Tracker System installed on the HVAC unit serving the 4th floor west wing. The current system is to be upgraded/replaced with an integrated system that communicates with all system digital controllers through a new central control unit (PC Based Work Stations via Local Area Network LAN). All FPU's and DSC 8500's are to be replaced. Current control devices such as pneumatic to electric, electric to pneumatic, electric relays, temperature sensors, pneumatic motors, etc. may be reused with the new system, however existing devices must be recalibrated to function with the new system. The location of the central monitoring stations for the EMCS will be relocated from building 8 to building 9. Solicitation includes alternates. Issue date for the solicitation is August 25, 1997.
