On a sole source basis, the Naval Air Systems Command intends to procure the Solid State Oxygen Monitor (SSOM) Buyout requirements. The SSOM Buyout requirements are for approximately 300 monitors. The contract will be awarded to Litton Systems, Inc., Life Support Division, Box 4508 Hickory Grove Rd, Davenport, IA 52808. Litton is the sole designer, developer, and producer of the OEAS and as such is the only firm possessing the requisite knowledge, specialized experience, technical capability, and technical data necessary to meet Government requirements.
