Drug Abuse is soliciting proposals from qualified organizations having
the capability to produce, store, and distribute opioid peptides and
related compounds. Compounds will be maintained in adequate amounts and
purity and shipped as designated by the NIDA. Offeror must possess the
equipment, facilities, and extensive experience with solution phase
peptide synthesis, purification, and characterization of peptides in
general and, in particular, opioid peptides. It is estimated that a
five year incrementally funded cost-reimbursement type (completion)
contract will be awarded with five one year options. RFP No.
N01DA-7-7067 will be available electronically on or about August 26,
1997, and may be accessed through the NIH Gopher and/or the Internet by
