combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in
accordance with FAR sub part 12.6., as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written
solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number VA-797-97-F1V-0078
is issued as a Request for Quotation. The solicitation document and
incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC
90-46. The SIC code is 3827 and the small business size standard is 500
employees. The contractor shall provide, deliver, assemble, and install
the equipment. This is a new construction installation. The contractor
shall warehouse the equipment until notified to deliver. Upon
notification, the contractor will deliver the equipment within 15
working days and install in designated rooms. The warranty shall start
on the date the equipment is placed in service. The following
equipment is required: (1). quantity one (1) Monocular Radius Gauge
Marco part number 505; (2). quantity two (2) Reichert Xpect NCT Plus,
model number 12450; (3). quantity of two (2) Humphery model 350, part
number MISC-2; (4). quantity of two (2) Humphery Ref/Ker model 599,
part number MISC -2; (5). quantity of one (1) Humphery Atlas Mdl 990;
part number MISC-02; (6). quantity of four (4) Haag Streit SP-BAL
instrument stand with casters; part number 1000.0002; (7). quantity of
four (4) Large Double Table Top, Grey.; (8). MR1000-RBB, Illumination
Frame, Display holds 108 Frames. (9). Delivery, assembly,
installation, training as detailed in this synopsis/solicitation. Place
of performance is the Joel Health and Dental Clinic located at Fort
Bragg, North Carolina. Delivery shall occur on or about 01 November
1997. FAR clause 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial

acquisition. The Government will award a contract resulting from this
synopsis/solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming
to this synopsis/solicitation will be most advantageous to the

used to evaluate offers. (1) Technical capability; (2) past
performance; (3) price. Technical and past performance when combined
are significantly more important erformance when combinthan price.
