The work of this project includes all professional services, labor, materials, facilities, and travel to do all work necessary to detail, fabricate, transport, and install exhibits for the Mojave Desert Information Center at Lancaster, CA. The Mojave Desert Information Center is one of several information centers identified as key information sources for desert recreation and resources. The facility is operated by the California Department of State Parks and is intended to serve as an interagency visitor contact facility. The contractor shall perform all design detailing, exhibit fabrication, and exhibit installation for this 800 square foot front facility. Exhibit fabrication shall be based upon the construction drawings and specifications provided by the National Park Service. Project work will include, but is not limited to: design detailing, drafting, verification of all measurements, inspection of exhibit room, preparation of isometric and as-built drawings; all fabrication elements ofexhibit structures such as cases, platforms, panels, information counter, electrical or mechanical devices; all materials, cabinetry, metal work, acrylic work, and application of finishes; provide all photographic processing, printing, retouching; produce graphics which include typesetting, proofreading, screen printing labels and artwork. Completion shall be within six months of receipt of the final graphics package. Award will be made on the basis of "Best Value" to the Government, considering price, and factors other than price, such as recent experience in fabricating visitor center exhibits and professional qualifications of the principals and staff proposed for the project.
