A -- CONFERENCE ON FUTURE DIRECTIONS FOR NATION'S HEALTH ACCOUNTS DUE 090597 POC Lucille Fussell-Lee (410) 786-5447 The Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) intends to award on a sole source basis, under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures a firm fixed price award to Joseph Newhouse, Ph.D., Director, Division of Health Policy, Research and Education, Harvard University, Parcel B First Floor, 25 Shattuck Street, Cambridge, MA 02115. HCFA is currently conducting intramural research in order to provide Health Care Services researchers and provide components with information on historical and projected spending for health care services and associated financing sources. The analysis of this data requires a written report to identify potential new directions for the Nation's Health Accounts by measuring health spending during a period of important transitions in health care. It is mandatory that the contractor have prior experience and knowledge of having critically examined health account products in the past, are familiar with their use in the policy making setting, and have the required reputation to attract knowledgeable experts in specific fields to this project. The contractor must also perform work at their facilities and shall facilitate a conference at HCFA's Central Office.
