This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is DAKF23-97-R-0216 and is being issued as a Request for Proposals. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. The SIC code is 3663/750 employees. The requirement consists of CLIN 0001 for 12 each, Unique Systems SATCOM Power Amplifiers, Part Number US-22/40/10-LN. The equipment will be installed on a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter and used with the AN/ASC-15C(V3) Command and Control Console System. The minimum salient characteristics are: 1) Must be able to provide SATCOM (satellite high angle converge) and standard LOS (line of sight, low angle satellite, air-to-air, or air-to-ground) communications; 2) Must be approved for aircraft installation and meet all MILSPEC/MILSTD criteria; and, 3) Meet the following characteristics: 1) Frequency (RX)240-270, (TX)290-320 Mhz; RF Output 100 Watts MIN; RF Input 5/10 Watts; Insertion Loss 1.5 db MAX; VSWR Input 2:1; VSWR Output 2.5:1; Output Load VSWR Protected; Harmonics 30 db Below Carrier; Spurious 80db Below Carrier; AM Distortion 10% MAX; Input Power 28 VDC; Turn on Time 50 msec MAX; Gai 25 db MIN; and Noise 3 db MAX.
