(309)782-5554 The U.S. Army Industrial Operations Command needs Nuclear
Regulatory Commission or Agreement State licensed 8a certified
contractors with varying capabilities involved with the inspection,
packaging, and transport of low-level radioactive and mixed wastes. The
contractor may be required to: (1) Travel to government installations
CONUS/OCONUS, (2) Perform site characterization and release surveys on
equipment, sources, soil, water, buildings, vehicles, etc., (3)
Decontaminate equipment or areas for free release, (4) identify and
quantify radionuclides/hazardous materials (5) Package materials in
compliance with NRC/DOT/EPA requirement, disposal site conditions,
etc., (6) Prepare shipments, including all shipping papers, IAW
NRC/DOT/EPA and disposal site requirements for transportation
CONUS/OCONUS, (7) Provide mobile services to solidify liquids, (8)
perform Explosice Ordnance Dis[psal. Identify, contain, decontaminate,
and remove explosive ordnance. This task also includes the technical
knowledge, training and capability to perform ''Blow and Go" detonation
of unexploded ordnance (9) construct, refurbish and/or replace targets
and target support structures and dispose of target debris, (10)
excavate ordnance burial pits and certify pits are ordnance free (11)
collect water/soil/debris samples for analysis. Contractor(s) must
already be certified 8a or certification pending within 90 days.
