The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO), Computer Technology Procurement Branch (DTS42), Scott AFB, IL, will procure through an electronic bulletin board, the Information Technology Acquisition Bulletin Board System(ITABBS), the following items: Remedial and On-Call Maintenance for a COMENSA SYSTEM 100, peripheral equipment, and software located at Defense Megacenter (DMC) San Diego, 937 North Harbor Drive, Bldg 1, San Diego, CA. The contractor must have access to Comensa system software source code for debugging purposes and for creating software packs. The period of performance is 1 Oct 97 through 30 Sep 98. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this procurement is 7378. The anticipated Request for Quote (RFQ) release date is 5 Sep 97 with proposals expected to be due 12 Sep 97. Vendor proposals in response to this solicitation must be in hard copy. Vendors will be able to dial into the electronic ITABBS to download the RFQ, receive amendments, and other related correspondence. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered. Information from the electronic bulletin board system will either be in ASCII or Microsoft Word for Windows 2.0 format. Solicitations are usually a compressed (PKZIP) MS Word file requiring you to have compatible software to extract the file. The ITABBS can be accessed by any vendor through standard hardware and software. To access ITABBS, the necessary communications parameters are 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, with modem speeds of 1.2 -- 14.4 KBPS. ITABBS requirements will remain posted until the deadline has passed for submission of vendor proposals.
