and maintenance bucket dredging of the Bonneville Dam Second
Powerhouse intake channel. Due to the emergency nature of this work,
the contractor must be able commence work within 10 calendar days after
issuance of Notice to Proceed (NTP). It is anticipated that NTP will be
issued on or about 15 October 1997 with all work completed not later
than 20 November 1997. Contractor shall be capable of achieving a
minimum production rate of 3,000 cubic yards (barge measure) per
calendar day, 21,000 cubic yards per calendar week for the duration of
the work period in order to be considered a responsible bidder.
Estimated quantity of dredged material is 80,000 cubic yards of sand
and woody debris. Substantial liquidated damages will be assessed for
late completion. IFB will be available on or about 15 September 1997 at
$20.00 per set. The tentative bid opening date is 1 October 1997; this
will allow only a 2 week bid preparation period. The estimate range is
between $500,000 and $1,000,000. This procurement is open to both large
and small businesses. The small business size standard for this
procurement is a concern, including all affiliates, with average annual
gross sales or receipts for the preceding three years, not in excess of
$13.5 million. Please indicate business size when requesting bid
