Presolicitation Notice, Submission No. 115636 Dated August 28, 1997 at
2:27. The description is revised as follows: The Environmental
Protection Agency's Great Lakes National Program Office (GLNPO)
requires services to provide for the operation, maintenance, repair and
scheduled dry-docking of any United States Environmental Protection
Agency monitoring and research vessels assigned to the GLNPO. It is
anticipated that this will be a competitive, firm-fixed price contract.
These vessels primarily operate within the Great Lake basin. Limited
assignments are possible outside of the Great Lakes. The R/V Lake
Guardian and R/V Mudpuppy are in Bay City, MI. Operation of a warehouse
support facility is required in Bay City and Milwaukee, WI. These
vessels and their respective limnology equipment and laboratory
facilities represent means to safely obtain water and sediment samples
anywhere in the Great Lakes and the connecting waterways. The
anticipated release date for the RFP is the week of September 22, 1997.
The anticipated contract will have a 12 month base period and three 12
month option periods. The purpose of this CBD announcement is to
notify potential offerors of EPA's requirement, generate a source list,
and to direct interested parties to the EPA's "Doing Business with EPA"
Internet World Wide Web site at http://www.epa.gov/oam for other
information on this procurement as it becomes available. The RFP,
amendments and other related items for this procurement will be poste
on this web site and can be downloaded. Interested parties must forward
requests to be placed on the source list via Internet E-mail as stated
