The FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to procure under other than full and open competition procedures the following items: 0001 8+1 RAID System, Ciprico part # HAL7013RDD164A, 3 each; 0002 8+1 RAID System w/no adapter, Ciprico part # ADX7013RDD161A, 3 each. This is a synopsis for commercial items in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6. Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Ciprico of Plymouth, MN as the OEM and the only known source capable of meeting the Government's minimum needs as to quality output, and design and performance compatibility with existing systems. A fixed price contract is contemplated. The Government will not pay for information received. This contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or to submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
