A -- SCIENTIFIC, ENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR THE SURVEILLANCE AND INTERCEPTOR TECHNOLOGY DIRECTORATE AT BMDO SOL HQ0006-94-C-0009 POC POC: Mr. Robert F. Frey, (703) 604-4313, BMDO Reference Number:97-25 The Ballistic Missile Defense Organization (BMDO), Surveillance and Interceptor Technology Directorate (BMDO/TOS) plans to issue a sole source contract extension to Nichols Research Corporation to continue Scientific, Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support under contract HQ0006-94-C-0009 for a period of eight months from December 1, 1997 through July 31, 1998. This is a cost-plus-fixed-fee, level of effort, multiple option contract. Qualified personnel and associated resources shall support the Directorate and the Program office in the areas of technology, prototype elements, subsystems and systems and experimentation efforts for sensor technology developments. This continuation of services is required because the follow-on acquisition entitled Surveillance and Phenomenology Technology in support of the Surveillance and Interceptor Technology Directorate (Solicitation HQ0006-97-R-0009), which was synopsized under CBD announcement 97-13 on February 13, 1997, was delayed as a result of an internal BMDO review of the Spaced Based Laser Program. Award of the modification for continued performance under contract HQ0006-94-C-0009 will be made pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source based on a determination that award to any other source would result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling BMDO requirements for scientific, engineering and technical assistance. The Government intends to post any future information related to this RFP on the BMDO Acquisition Reporting Bulletin Board (BARBB).
