Command, toenjess@cc.tacom.army.mil. The U.S. Army Tank-automotive
and Armament Command is seeking offerors able to supply Vibratory
Rollers of differing types: Type I -- a light roller equipped with
smooth drum and pad foot shell kit; Type II -- a heavy roller with
smooth drum and pad foot shell kit; Type III -- a light roller with
smooth drum and interchangable pad foot drum; and commercial, light
rollers with smooth drum and interchangable drum. Must meet the
requirements of PD 3895-2190. Special requirements include MIL-STD 209
Slinging and Tiedown provisions; Types I and III must be capable of
being externally transportable by CH-47D helicopters; Type III must be
airdroppable from C-130 and C-141 aircraft; Types I, II and III must
meet special paint requirement, as well as other military unique
requirements specified in the applicable documentation. Estimated
ordering quantities for each roller type are: Type I, 150 each; Type
II, 480 each; Type III, 30 each; commercial model, 30 each.
Unrestricted RFP using commercialacquisition procedures (FAR Part 12)
and best value source selection criteria resulting in a firm fixed
price five (5) year requirements type contract. FOB-Origin for
production rollers. The successful contractor will be required to enter
into a long term Direct Vendor Delivery agreement with the Government
for worldwide parts support. Manuals, special tools, training and other
