This is a notice of intent to award a firm-fixed price contract to Lucent Technologies (formerly AT&T) for maintenance of 5ESS switch system. Maintenance shall include switch upgrades, engineer, software and hardware maintenance support. Spares exchange service is required to replace damaged and inoperable electronic switch circuit cards. On-call and on-site technical assistance shall be required. Software Change Administration and Notification (SCANS) is required for the continued software change updates and software updates. Also included in the maintenance shall be the following: provide equipment repair service and return program and price list; provide spares exchange program; provide 24 hours, 7 days a week emergency response service; provide software change administration and notification system (SCANS); provide technical assistance by telephone; provide technical assistance on-site; provide semi-annual on-site system evaluation; Provide documentation updates for 5ESS switch system; provide on-site maintenance training; and provide new versions of the standard software programs/hardware as released. No solicitation document exists and none will be issued as a result of this notice. This procurement will utilize all applicable commercial items provisions and clauses. Maintenance will be accomplished at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Centeer, Twentynine Palms, California. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered by this agency. Telephone inquires will not be accepted. Written responses, including GSA contract number, if applicable, prices, and technical data sufficient enough to determine capability to meet the requirement must be received by this office within 10 calendar days after publication of this notice. If no affirmative responses are received within this time to determine that a comparable source more adventageous to the Government, is available, a contract will be entered into with the above named vendor. Responses must state that the vendor is not currently onthe Consolidated List of Debarred, Suspended and Ineligible Contractors or on the List of Contractors Indebted to the United States or otherwise ineligible to receive Government Contracts.
