This is a sources sought announcement only. A solicitation will not be issued as a result of this announcment. A new CBD announcement will be published if a solicitation develops. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division, Coastal Systems Station is seeking potential sources to provide an off-the-shelf or non-development Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) radio link. Based on initial estimates the Navy will require approximately 30 BLOS radio link systems. The BLOS radio link will be used to send data from ship to ship at BLOS ranges. The BLOS radio link shall support at least a 9600 bit per second data rate with a bit error rate less than 1.E-5. Data rates up to 2 mega-bits per second are highly desirable. Interested firms should respond to this sources sought announcement with commercial literature showing the company's ability to meet the BLOS radio link requirements listed above. This announcement should not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract.
