Johnson/Pkwrs/[937]257-6721 This a combined synopsis/solicitation for
commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart
12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this
notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposal
are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This
solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) and this
includes all provisions and clauses in effect thur FAC 90-40. This is
a Sole Source requirement IAW FAR 6.301-1. This RFP has four (4) line
items: 0001 (1 lot) -- Implementation of Remedy Interface, DAASC/DSDC-S
desires the MAX/Enterprise network management systems currently
implemented in Dayton and Tracy, CA directly link to the Remedy System.
0002 (1 lot) -- Implementation of PhonePoint Software, is an
implementation of event notification, escalation and response
procedures running in a MAX/Enterprise management environment.
PhonePoint is implemented to ensure serious events in a managed
environment are address in atimely manner. PhonePoint implements
client-defined notification, alternate notification and tracking
policies. PhonePoint is designed to operate using touch-tone
telephones. Line item 0003 (1 lot) -- Implementation of Application
Monitoring, Contractor shall provide MAX/E and mainframe (IBM and DEC)
professional services support as well as supporting AIX interface to
MAX/E requirement. Line items 0004 (1 lot) -- Travel, all travel for
the performance of the tasks outline in this effort will conform to the
Joint Travel Regulations (JTR). Place of Performance: DAASC/DSDC-S,
5250 Pearson Road, Bldg 207, Wright Patterson AFB OH 45433- 5328,
Delivery required within 30 days of award, Net 30, FOB: Destination.
The following clauses and provisions apply: 52.212-1 and 52.212-3.
Clause 52.212-4 and 52.212.5 shall be included with any offer. WPAFB
intends to award to Boole and Babbage, 2323 Horsepen Road, 3rd Floor,
Herndon, VA 20171. P.O.C. G. Johnson, ASC/PKWRS, Wright Patterson AFB
OH 45433. FAX number 937-257-6390. The approximate issue/response date
will be 09 Sep 97. The anticipated award date will be 26 Sep 97.
Written procedure will be used for this solicitation. No telephone
requests. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the
requestor are acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit
a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered. Authority: 10
U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are
available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s)
and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency
requirements. An Ombudsman has been established for this acquisition.
The only purpose of the Ombudsman is to receive and communicate serious
concerns from potential offerors, when potential offerors prefer not to
use established channels to communicate their concerns. Potential
offerors should use established channels to request information, pose
questions, and voice concerns before resorting to the Ombudsman.
