Naval Air Station Key West, FL intends to solicit and negotiate with Americatel Corporation, a small, disadvantaged business, for continued telecommunication services for FY98, using simplified acquisition procedures. Prior competitively awarded contracts with Americatel covered set-up and installation expenses incurred in providing landline connectivity to a Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) earth station hub between NAS Key West, Santa Domingo, Dominican Republic, and Willemstad, Curacao. Continued service includes VSAT Monthly Service Charges, Maintenance, Foreign Fees, and Tariffs. This is not a request for competitive bids, but is a notice of intent.
