97-BHRD-B27866 The Health Resources and Services Administration intends to negotiate on a SOLE SOURCE basis with the Congress of National Black Churches, Inc., National Health Program, 1225 Eye Street, NW, Suite 750, Washington, D.C. 20005-3914. This procurement shall be processed in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures of Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The purpose of this purchase order is to assist the Division of Organ Transplantation in promoting organ and bone marrow donation. The contractor shall organize and conduct a two-day workshop to inform and educate clergy on the issues surrounding minority organ and bone marrow donation and transplantation, and to obtain from workshop participants strategies and recommendations for increasing organ and bone marrow donors in the African American community. The period of performance is 7 months. The Congress of National Black Churches, Inc. National Health Program, is deemed the only responsible source capable of providing the required work and services. A Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition is on file. The award shall be made using simplified acquisition procedures. See Note 22 & 26
