The work includes: Providing all labor, supervision, materials, supplies and equipment necessary to collect and dispose of solid waste, including the collection and disposal of garbage, ashes, debris, rubbish, and other discarded solid wastes resulting from residential, industrial, commercial and community activities, and other related work as written in the specifications and drawings. Excluded from this function is collection and disposal of: Hazardous wastes, solids or dissolved materials in domestic sewage, other pollutants in water resources such as silt and dissolved or suspended solids, and infectious/medical wastes. The proposed acquisition is UNRESTRICTED. This proposed acquisition will be firm fixed price and indefinite quantity contract for a base period of twelve months (97 NOV 17 -- 98 NOV 16) and contains four one-year options with total contract term not to exceed 60 months. There will be only two site visits scheduled (one on Wednesday 08 October 1997 at 9:00 a.m. and one on Wednesday 15 October 1997 at 1:00 p.m.).
