B -- BANK TECHNOLOGY CONSULTANT DUE 100697 POC Boyd Greene, Contract Specialist (202) 874-5442 The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency(OCC), a Bureau in the Treasury Department, intends to issue a modification for a purchase order to Ms. Sharon Sivertsen for work on a number of policy development projects in the areas of technology risk management, remote banking, electronic money, and other subjects related to banks' use of technology. The OCC plans to use Ms. Sivertsen's services for the remainder of the calendar year 1997. Ms. Siversten is unique in her ability to offer senior level experience in four key areas including policy analysis, bank supervision, technical expertise, and risk management, as they relate to bank technology and electronic banking. Ms. Sivertsen's past experience also uniquely qualifies her to significantly contribute to these policy development projects. Ms. Sivertsen recently served as Director of the FDIC Office of Policy Development where she developed FDIC guidance and policies on a range of technology and banking-related issues. Ms. Sivertsen has also served as the FDIC representative on the Treasury Department's Consumer Electronic Payments Task Force. The OCC considers Ms. Sivertsen the only source able to offer such a wide range of experience on the subject matter of the project. Therefore, this procurement is a SOLE SOURCE and NO solicitation is available. The modification will fund Ms. Sivertsen's contribution to the project from October 20, 1997 until December 31, 1997. Letters and telephone requests for a copy of a solicitation will not be accepted and are considered nonresponsive to this CBD announcement. However, contractors with expertise in the areas stated above may submit a PROPOSAL with PRICING to be considered by the Government no later than 15 DAYS from the published date of this announcement.
