PROGRAM SOL M67854-92-C-1069 POC Mr. Michael D. Blackstone,
Contracting Officer, 703-784-5822 (Ext. 253) The Marine Corps Systems
Command intends to issue a modification to Contract No.
M67854-92-C-1069, with Lockheed Martin Corporation, Syracuse, New York,
to provide an additional 80,000 man-hours of AN/TPS-59 related
engineering studies. The AN/TPS-59 engineering studies will be issued
on a task order (level-of-effort) basis for a period of 24 months. The
studie will focus on analysis and development of Tactical Missile
Defense (TMD) detection and tracking capabilities; correcting existing
radar/system deficiencies; improving maintainability, reliability and
mobility; providing Cooperative Engagement Capabilities (CEC); and
enhancing overall operational capability in support of the ongoing
AN/TPS-59 Upgrade Program. This effort will be a follow-on/continuation
of those services currently provided for by CLIN 0014 of Contract No.
M67854-92-C-1069. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Justification:
Supplies or Services required are available from only one or a limited
number of sources under the authority ofFAR 6.302. Interested persons
may identify their interest and capability to respond to the
requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request
for competitive proposals. No RFP is available for competitive bidding.
However, all proposals received within forty-five (45) days after date
of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government.
A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed
contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government.
Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose
of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. See Note
