The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a firm fixed price order against Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) F34601-97-G-0001 with General Electric Aircraft Engines, and subsidiaries General Electric Supply Company, Support Services Operation (GESS), for the procurement of T-700 and T-58 spare components for the Presidential Support Helicopters. As the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the T-58-GE-400B and T-700-GE-401 engines, General Electric, is the only known responsible source able to produce the required supplies. It is the only known firm with the knowledge, experience, and technical data capable of insuring that the spare and repair parts are available to meet depot and intermediate level maintenance requirements.
