R -- TO PROVIDE THE PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT SYSTEM TO EIGHT (8) SMALL AND RURAL INDIAN HEALTH SERVICE HOSPITALS IN THE ABERDEEN AREA. POC Robin L. The Aberdeen Area Indian Health Service (AAIHS) is seeking a certified Buy-Indian source to provide a performance measurement system that will meet the ORYX requirements specified by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). The purpose, if a solicitation is issued, is to provide the performance measurement system to eight (8) small and rural Indian Health Service hospitals in the Aberdeen Area. The performance measurement system must have the ability to measure clinical performance and must be able to perform statistical analysis on this information to show the mean, median, rate/ratio, and standard deviation/variance. Indicators must be applicable to both hospitals and ambulatory health care facilities. Services are required for the period of December 20, 1997 through December 19, 1998, with options to renew for two one-year terms. The project may be expanded during the first option year to include five ambulatory care facilities in the Aberdeen Area. An award decision will be based upon the best value to the Government with a certified Buy-Indian firm that is an approved JCAHO vendor. The firm must have a record of successful performance working with small and rural Indian Health Service facilities and specific experience with the Resource and Patient Management System (RPMS), the healthcare database used by the Indian Health Service.
