V -- COMMERCIAL PILOTAGE SERVICES SOL N00189-97-R-0098 DUE 102497 POC Marchetta Smith, Contract Specialist, (757)445-4505 or Rosalinda Walton, Contracting Officer, (757)444-3771 Contractor shall provide pilotage services during any 24 hour period, including holidays and weekends, for Naval and Military Sealift Command (MSC) vessels upon request of the Commanding Officer/master of vessel. Services will originate/terminate in Hampton Roads, Chesapeake Bay, Potomac River and interstate waters of Virginia contiguous thereto. Intended service is the service scheduled and customarily performed by harbor pilots in docking, undocking, shifting and piloting naval vessels, both surface and submarine. All government owned MSC ships are included within the scope of this contract and are required to utilize the services provided hereunder. Period of performance will be for a base year with priced option provision to extend the term for four (4) one-year periods. An Indefinite Delivery/Requirements type contract with Fixed-Unit prices is anticipated,FOB Destination and delivery will be specified in each delivery order. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered bythe agency. Only written or facsimile request will be accepted. Request for the solicitation must state that neither the requestor nor the prinicipal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive a contract from any federal agency.
