This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a sole source procurement and NASA/KSC intends to make a purchase from Visigenic Software, Inc. Visigenic Software, Inc. is the only known source for this procurement. This notice is being issued as a Request for Offers (RFO) for the following: ITEM NO. 1 -- -CORBA Development License VisiBroker C++ for IRIS, P/N 0000-310-050-22-2, Quantity: 10 each. ITEM NO. 2 -CORBA Run-time License VisiBroker C++ for IRIS, P/N 130-311-05052X-2, Quantity: 79 each. DELIVERY -- The above items are required to be delivered FOB Destination to NASA, Kennedy Space Center, Florida. Delivery of all items are required 2 weeks after contract award This procurement is being conducted under the NASA MidRange Program approved by the Office of Federal Procurement Policy. The FAR provisions and clauses in the RFO are those in effect through the July 1997 FAR Reissue. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO C-9. If the end product(s) offered is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause entitled "Buy American Act -- Supplies," the Offeror shall so state and shall list the country of origin. The SIC code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 3577 and 1,000 respectively. The Offeror shall state in their offer their size status for this procurement. All responsible business sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. Selection and award will be made on an aggregate basis to the lowest priced, technically acceptable Offeror. Technical acceptability will be determined by information submitted by the Offeror providing a description in sufficient detail to show that the product offered meets the Government's requirement.
