Offeror shall provide generation and transmission of firm electric power to the local distribution utility's system serving each Federal electric account included in this commercial item solicitation. The commercial item solicitation will be posted and can be downloaded by interested parties from the following internet address: www.gsa.gov/pbs/xu/puindex.htm. The solicitation will be posted in the "contracting opportunities" section of the web site. The GSA and other Federal accounts chosen to participate in the Pennsylvania electric customer choice pilot program are not known at this time. We plan to amend the solicitation to include GSA and other Federal electric requirements by October 16, 1997. Additional requirements may be added by amendment after that date so prospective offerors are advised to visit the internet address prior to submitting an offer. Selection of the successful offeror(s) will be made using source selection procedures with selection based on price with certain technical factors also being evaluated. The due date for offers shall be 2:00 PM on October 22, 1997. The term of the contract will be from November 1, 1997 through December 31, 1998.
