EPA's National Risk Management Research Laboratory (NRMRL), Urban Watershed Management Branch (UWMB) of the Water Supply and Water Resources Division (WSWRD) is soliciting quotations on developing design procedures and guidance and predicting the effectiveness of retrofitting: (1) wastewater treatment systems to handle higher flows while still providing effective pollution abatement of wet weather flows (WWF); and (2) drainage and flood control (detention basin) systems to provide the dual function of WWF pollution abatement, respectively. Work to be performed shall include literature research and desk-top analysis. A project report shall be prepared to present all relevant information to include the effectiveness of each system; guidance on design and operation; cost breakdowns (new construction and modification of existing structure, system installation, and operation and maintenance); and case studies of retrofitted systems. The period of performance will be eight (8) months from the date of award. EPA intends to issue a request for written quotations (RFQ). The RFQ-OH-98-00015 will be issued on or about October 30, 1997 with written quotations due on or about November 17, 1997.
