Provide all supervision, material and labor necessary to perform Dockside Repairs to NOAA Ship RUDE, to be performed at the Atlantic Marine Center in Norfolk, Virginia. Performance period to commence approximately January 6, 1998, and shall be completed within 37 calendar days thereafter. The requirement consists of basic items such as: Main Engines Top End Overhaul; Ship Service Generators Top End Overhaul; Ship Service Generators Electrical Sets Overhaul; Steel Repairs; Piping Repairs; and others. In addition there will be three option items; Weather Decks preservation; Terrazzo Deck Maintenance and Pilot House Upgrades. Vessel will be available for inspection, the date for the inspection will be included in the solicitation package. Characteristics of NOAA Ship RUDE: Length Overall -- 90-feet; Beam (moulded) -- 22-feet; Draft (maximum) -- 7.4-feet; Displacement -- 220-tons; Propulsion -- Twin screw, Cummins Diesels KT-19M; Crew size -- 11.All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
