The USDA, Procurement Operations Division, Washington, DC plans to acquire on a sole source firm-fixed price basis a modification to existing contract 53-3142-2-1037 to continue with software maintenance and computer support of the Departmental Mailing List System (DMLS) at USDA, Washington, DC. This modification will not change the statement of work, labor categories, place of performance or deliverables. These efforts will be continuous and within the scope of the current contract. This modification will extend contract 53-3142-2-1037 until the follow on contract can be competitively awarded. The required level of effort is estimated at 635 hours. This acquisition will be negotiated on a sole source basis with David Buscher & Associates, 5673 Chamblis Drive, Clarksville, MD 21029 under the Authority of FAR 6.302-1. David Buscher & Associates is the only source that can provide the necessary continuation of software maintenance and supportto USDA without a break in support under the current contract 53-3142-2-1037. David Buscher & Associates is the developer of the DMLS software and no other source to maintain this software is known. (0293)
