Arentsen, (618) 229-9661 The purpose of this notice is to amend the synopsis issued 10 Oct 97 for the acquisition of Hardware Maintenance of Unisys Equipment. The ACTUAL RFP WILL BE ISSUED ELECTRONICALLY; THEREFORE, THERE IS NO NEED TO RESPOND IN WRITING WITH REFERENCE TO THE INITIAL CBD NOTICE OR THIS AMENDED CBD NOTICE. DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF RFP VIA FAX. Vendors will be able to download the RFP, amendments, related correspondence, etc. by dailing into the Electronic Information Technology Acquisition Bulletin Board System (ITABBS). Information will either be in ASCII, Microsoft Word for Windows 6.0, or Excel 5.0 format. RFPs on ITABBS are usually a compressed (PKZIP) MS Word file requiring you to have compatible software to extract the file. The ITABBS, can be accessed by any FIP vendor through standard hardware and software. To access ITABBS, the necessary communications parameters are 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, with modem speeds of 1.2 -- 14.4 KBPS. ITABBS requirements will remain posted until the deadline has passed for submission of vendor proposals.
