The Air Education & Training Command (AETC) Contracting Squadron is interested in identifying qualified sources to perform the Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) Modeling and Simulation (AMS) Training Program Contract Logistics Support (CLS) at Tyndall AFB FL. In addition to contract logistics support, this proposed effort may include the accomplishment of various related software and hardware updates as required. A draft of the Performance Work Statement (PWS) is available for review and comment on the AETC Contracting Home Page on the Internet at http://www-contracting.aetc.af.mil. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining the number of interested sources that qualify for this competitive acquisition. This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis/Market Research. A site visit will be held for interested offerors during the preproposal conference. The time and date will be provided in the formal solicitation which will be issued inthe Jan/Feb 98 time frame. Any sources interested in this synopsis should describe their qualifications in current and past experience of operation, maintenance and support on similar type training devices. Small business, small disadvantaged business, women owned business and Historically Black College and Universities/Minority Institutions are encouraged to submit their responses. Please note that AETC has not yet made a decision as to whether the potential acquisition will be set-aside and that it reserves the right to determine the appropriate method of procuring the above service based upon our analysis and evaluation of the response to our market research.
