SECOND ASNE MODELING, SIMULATION AND VIRTUAL PROTOTYPING EXPOSITION The American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE), in cooperation with the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development and Acquisition (ASN(RD&A)), announces the Second Modeling, Simulation and Virtual Prototyping Conference and Exposition to be held November 24-25, 1997 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City Hotel, Arlington, Virginia. The goals of the conference and exposition are to: 1) focus on current and future approaches to modeling & simulation (M&S) for virtual prototyping and the realization of Distributed Simulation Based Aquisition; 2) define working strategies to enable Integrated Product and Process Development (IPPD); and 3) identify and explore emerging simulation and virtual prototyping technologies, their implementation and applications. The exposition is an opportunity for your organization to join a wide range of commercial and government interests in providing a look at the state-of-the-art products and services to the decision makers from the Department of Defense, Department of the Navy, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Coast Guard Headquarters, Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Air Systems Command and the Space & Naval Warfare Systems Command and their supporting activities in their own backyards.
